Technology has created us, humans, some endless quest for control over nature both above and below. The project is focused mainly on that overhead view that allows control of every possible angle and traces birds’ point of view, which is entirely different from that of humans; it creates a different perspective of the human world and nature, on objects and boundaries.
Shaked explores that overhead view by examining the view through drone photographs while documenting human models and proportions according to the angle of view. She studied the changes that occur when we look at clothes from a bird-eye, The difference between the multi-colors from the eyes of the bird versus the monochromaticity of human vision. The collection is specified to men and based on tailor-made clothing items, which combines the functionality in the way of changing perspective. It consists of the tension between winter woolen fabrics compared to thin, airy silk and chiffon fabrics. The collection examines the desire of man to control nature while dismantling and assembling the clothes, thus offering a change in proportion and a new perspective.
