In this project, we planned, characterized, and formulated a skin-care gel containing active probiotic bacteria. The product helps reduce redness and wrinkles, moisturizes the skin, and improves its elasticity.
The main challenges in making this product are ensuring the bacteria remain active over time and proving their positive effect on the skin. We selected substances known to support bacterial viability over time and developed three gel preparations: two based on natural ingredients and one based on a synthetic cosmetic ingredient. The preparations remained stable throughout the testing period. Better viability was observed in the presence of natural ingredients.
