A series of giant prints on fabric attempting to convey the experience of nighttime wanderings through the city as a gateway to exploring the inner world.
This project films the experience of roaming among buildings in the urban space. “During these wanderings, an inner dialogue develops between me and the buildings of the city, between me and myself, between me and my architect father. The inner wandering opens a dialogue between the experience and the visual language,” explains Karmi.
The actions of designing the fabric, such as dying and addition, removal and subtraction, turn out to be essential to the appearance of the fabric and the role of light – where it will penetrate and between which layers it will pass.
