Food is a cultural marker. It gathers us around the table, the place where culture is born. Mealtime is when stories are told, experiences are shared, questions are raised, and many discoveries are made. Unlike other food cultures, the diverse Iraqi culture and cuisine never took root in Israel. This project aims to correct that. By creating space for Iraqi food and telling the story of Iraqi culture in a lighthearted, young yet respectful tone, the designer wishes to preserve Iraqi culture in Israel.
