George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984,” which presents the sad fate of mankind, has become more relevant than ever.

With the advent of the internet and social networks into our lives, expressions such as: “Big Brother” and “Police of Thoughts” returned to the 21st century – as warnings constituted by a political apparatus that suppressed liberty and freedom.

As part of his work in the Ministry of Truth, the protagonist of the story Winston rewrites the past and updates it in accordance with the concept of “Big Brother” – a concept of extreme totalitarian rule.

“In my opinion, the act of distorting the truth was similar to a template from the printing industry called ipsum-Lorem, a simulated text, which serves as a ‘substitute’,” says the designer.

The collection presents unique techniques from the world of female tailoring that create new silhouettes from different and unconventional materials such as: lycra and various upholstery materials. With the help of rewritten silhouettes and the development of unique patterns inspired by the book Ipsum-Lorem.

The collection will illustrate the confusion of personal identity, created from an overload of misinformation, which floods our lives and reflects the unbearable lightness of the creation of “Renew.”
