The casting process for film and television has recently undergone a significant change. Social distancing and international travel restrictions brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic have shifted the balance, increasing the number of actors competing for each part. On top of that, actors now face a new challenge: memorizing and rehearsing lines with no real-time feedback. These are the problems that Stage is here to help solve. Stage is a system designed to meet the needs of actors and casting directors alike.

Features for actors: With Stage, actors can manage and prepare for remote auditions effectively and professionally and get relevant audition offers based on the information they enter when they sign up. Once an actor has watched the video for the part they want, they can record their audition on Stage. If more than one character speaks during the scene, Stage simulates an in-person audition using speech recognition to read aloud the other characters’ dialogue.  At the end of the recording, Stage scores the actor’s reading, helping them improve and ensuring they send a great audition to the casting agency.

Features for casting agents and directors: With Stage, casting agents and directors can personally invite actors to audition for roles, filter the actor pool based on selected criteria, and make informed casting decisions.
