A line of domestic textile objects inspired by surrealistic collages.

This project draws inspiration from sentimental family objects. The work process involves first creating a series of surrealistic collages made up of photographed objects; items are chosen from among these to be turned into three-dimensional objects. The objects inspire questions about illusions in materials, what we project on materials, and our symbolic expectations of objects. Each of the objects is stamped with the connection between material and technique, invoking emotional experiences involving self-image, romantic breakups, and childhood memories.

Materials: synthetic materials, felt, transparent foil, puff paste, wool thread, polyester thread, Swarovski crystals
