Five outfits sewn from printable mesh fabrics decorated with hand-drawn flowers.
The project was inspired by observing bridges adorned with wreathes of flowers. The design developed from thinking about the bridge as an inanimate geometric structure and the flower as a temporary organic phenomenon that passes from beauty and blossoming to withering. From this starting point, a combination of geometric shapes and hand-drawn pictures of flowers were created. The drawings were then cut and distributed into triangles, uniting the hand-illustrated flowers with the structure of the inanimate bridge – soft beauty with heavy shapes and structures.
