In a utopian world, our thoughts would come into being and pass into the physical sphere in perfectly synchronized creation. The two spheres are parallel and identical, in both size and weight. Between them pass straight lines from a point in one sphere to the same point in the other. This straight line is an easy path when a completely predictable result waits at the other end; but in practice, everything is complicated. Elizabeth Marr’s exhibition deals with the violent, frictional encounters between spheres: the real and the virtual.
