Mr. Eyal Nussbaum

In recent years, Israeli public transportation companies have phased out traditional payment systems in favor of contactless travel cards. The change has made payments more efficient, but it has also made it difficult for drivers to keep track of whether all passengers have paid. This has caused a massive increase in the number of free-riders—and massive losses for the transportation companies.

FairFare puts the transportation companies back in control by optimizing the efficiency of existing conductors. The first step is collecting data. To do this, all vehicle entrances will be fitted with an IoT passenger-counting system. The sensors will recognize the direction of each passenger’s movement and save the data accordingly. The system will then analyze the data and make it accessible to relevant company stakeholders.

There are three different user levels, each with its own type of data dashboard: managers, shift supervisors, and conductors.  The smart system will display relevant information to each professional to help optimizing the company’s payment collection process.
