A line of curtains woven on a handloom and designed with geometric motifs.

The idea for this project came from living in an apartment with a single window, which created lighting conditions that changed throughout the day. The project is a line of Roman blinds that have a uniform appearance when raised, while a colorful geometric composition is revealed from within the folds when they are lowered. Manual techniques and geometric imagery were chosen out of a desire to reduce the consumption of visual stimuli in daily life.

Materials: linen and cotton thread, balsa rods
