Menstruation is not just “that time of the month”—it is a month-long cycle that recurs continuously from a woman’s first period to her last. This is a short film about the phases of the menstrual cycle shown from a personal perspective. The film touches on our love-hate relationships with our periods—and with the people around us because of our periods. It is about the discomfort and the negative and positive feelings we experience from the day we get our first period.
