A line of hand-drawn garments, printed and knitted especially for sleeping in.
This project was inspired by the experience of quarantine and lockdown during the pandemic that robbed us of our freedom and independence. This experience was the starting point for an exploration of imagery in sleepwear design and of the importance of sleep for heightening consciousness and self-fulfillment. The images on the pajamas express the freedom, imagination, and optimism that exists in the space between sleep and wakefulness. The items were designed using a combination of printing, knitting, monotype, button design, and hand embroidery, which highlights the one-of-a-kind nature of each item.
