This project focuses on the development of functional textile with pH responsive coating.
The coating is incorporated into the fabric as a thin layer by simple method which takes only few minutes.
The coating is based on electro-conducting polymer that has the ability to reversibly alter irs electrical conductivity and color according to the pH changes of the environment. In addition this functional coating has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties.
Such textile based pH sensor can be used in the medical and pharma application to monitor the pH change of skin and various injuries.
