“Eretz Bar” (“Wildland” in Hebrew) is an app dedicated to endangered species native to Israel. Wild animals in Israel are rapidly going extinct for many reasons—one of which is man. Volman believes that in an ideal world, where people would feel an emotional connection with animals, they would be more willing to preserve their natural habitats and take steps to protect them.
Equipped with GPS and access to live feeds from cameras installed out in the field, Wildland lets users virtually adopt real wild animals. With the app, users can explore the animals’ daily lives and learn how they can help prevent their extinction.
