The book “Ribs and Tomatoes” explores the overt and hidden connections between food and gender. How do gender norms shape how we view food and eating, and how do they affect what and how much we eat? Based on sociological theories, the project shows the local, human aspect of the issue using a collection of photographs, interviews, recipes, and articles.
