Almog Ferber was born in Chicago and grew up in Rishon LeZion. In his graduate project, Ferber displays prints derived from two parallel processes of collage/assemblage and printmaking. In the first process, he constructs aprons from objects such as “coronavirus masks” and prints them with black on white monoprint directly onto paper; in the second, manually printed CMYK prints imagining a desert landscape are actually based on images of bread. The central process in these works is deconstruction and reconstruction, creating an imaginary world that unites all the raw materials into one image in each print.
