I feel that today we live in an era in which human society replaced reality and its meanings with signs and symbols, human experience became a simulation of reality. In my project, I chose Jean Baudrillard’s book “Simulacra and Simulation” as inspiration. According to Baudrillard, we live in a reality in which the relationship between it and its representations has been violated, a society that lives in a world of simulations replete with non-original copies – simulacrums and detached from objective reality. There is no doubt that this era prefers the image over the object, the copy over the original, the representation over reality, the appearance over the entity. There is a sense that the fundamental event of our time is the conquest of the world as an image. In my opinion, the age of social networks has disrupted the balance and thus the virtual world has become a real part and a reality has been created that combines the real and the virtual without the ability to distinguish the boundary between them. Throughout the project, I examined the fusion between reality and virtual reality through the “Ready to Wear” ‘Gender-less’ collection, using materials and technological techniques such as 3D printing, modeling of 3D patterns, painting, and brushing techniques of silicone materials, TPU rubber, comparing Natural fabrics Such as wool, cotton, etc
